Celebrating 50 yearsEstablished in 1974, Mansfield State High School is celebrating 50 years in 2024.
Past students, staff, Mansfield locals and the current school community are invited to join our official celebrations on Saturday 23 March 2024.
Planned activities include an Open Day and an evening function, with merchandise including a commemorative polo and magazine.
Open Day Saturday 23 March 2024
Time: 10.00am to 3.00pm
Open Day is an opportunity for past students and staff, and interested community members to explore our school. Wondering what our buildings look like now? Or hoping to see some familiar faces from your time at Mansfield? Join our current school community, staff and students for our Open Day.
- Student guided tours between 10.00am and 2.00pm leaving from the central green space.
- Opening of the 25 year time capsule at 12.30pm in the central green space.
- Performances from our current students including music, artwork, film screenings, sport matches and Bollywood dance troupe.
- Historical displays including photos in the Resource Centre.
- Grab a bite to eat from the Canteen (A Block and Assembly Hall).
Scheduled year level group meet-ups will be held in the Resource Centre (Library)
- 1970s graduates (1978-1979) at 10.20am
- 1980s graduates (1980-1989) at 11.20am
- 1990s graduates (1990-1999) at 12.10pm
- 2000s graduates (2000-2009) at 1.20pm
- 2010s and 2020s graduates (2010-2023) at 2.20pm
Evening cocktail function
An opportunity to get together and mingle with familiar and new faces at Club Southside.
Time: 6.00pm to 9.00pm
Location: Club Southside, Upper Mt Gravatt
Cost: $66 per person which includes a welcome drink and finger food
The evening is hosted by our School Captains and Vice Captains and includes cutting of the anniversary cake and entertainment by our school music ensembles.
Tickets: Book online to reserve your ticket to this event. As this is a cocktail style function to allow guests to mingle, groups can purchase tickets individually or purchase additional tickets without needed to be seated together.
Merchandise
To commemorate 50 years, a limited range of merchandise is being offered. Orders must be placed in advance and will be available for collection during the Open Day or after the event if you are unable to attend but would like to order.
- Polo shirt in womens (sizes 8-24) and unisex (sizes 2XS-6XL) styles for $44
- 50th Anniversary publication for $30
- 25th Anniversary publication for $15 (limited copies available)
Orders must be placed online through the Uniform Shop. The sizing for polo shirts can be viewed in the size guide which includes shirt measurements.
Please note that the deadline to order a polo shirt is Sunday 10 March.
